Back few years ago the Indian television industry was full of junk stuff where the lives of the household people revolved around the serial primarily focusing on religion, caste and fights. Few production houses moved forward to making serials focusing on issues such as love, sympathy and social causes yet there wasn't much about common people and especially youth.

Well pondering on options for youth were channels like Bindass, MTV and musical channels but not enough serious contents to look for.

TVF in year 2014 came with the concept of short bi-weekly episodes and that marks the advent of The Permanent Roommates.

Permanent Roommates is primarily story of two different loving people (Sumeet Vyas) aka Mikesh Chaudhary and (Nidhi Singh) aka Tanya Nagpal.

In the very first season Mikesh is cute and adorable is seen persuading Tanya to move in for a live-in relationship after 3 years of long distance relationship. There are misunderstandings, fights but these all strengthen their love.

The season with small budget revolving around two common people was highly appreciated and critically successful.

In the season 2 with 8 episodes in total was probably a bit different from the 1st one.

In this season the story revolves around convincing families and the responsibilities. The season features a pregnant Tanya who's about to meet her in law's who are unaware of her condition. Later the pressure to get married and parental responsibilities created rifts, but later a sensible Mikesh pacifies a confused Tanya. Also the season features the Asrani (famous for being the Angerajo ke zaamane ke jailor) and keeps on creating problem for them. He portrays an old grandfather who keeps testing their patience and creating problems during their marriage. For instance he fill ears of his daughter in law and Tanya's maternal aunt against each other. On other hand the father's seems to have a good bonding supported by ola cab driver Tiwari aka Deepak Kumar Mishra, who is adorable but seems a bit foolish. There are twist and turn of events and their love bond strengthens further. The most important twist has been addition of the baby track where they face obstacle but overcome only to prove of their strong step toward Parenthood.

Why to watch?😂

1. Witty writing and quirky one liners. Each episode has a message and each character has a significant role.

2. It's not a fairy tale but a realistic story so people can relate to characters and would fall in love with this series.

3. An audience appealing performance by Sumeet Vyas and Nidhi Singh doing justice with their job. Also well supported senior actor like Sishir Sharma, Asrani,
Darshan Jariwala and several others.

4. Cameo of Anandeshwar Dwivedi as a rich drunkard was a star performance.

5. The team of TVF from writer Biswapati Sarkar to the director Sameer Saxena. Also credits to Nidhi Bisht (casting director) and the supportive TVF.
Also to add hats off to Arunabh Kumar and Amit Golani for creating a platform and some meaningful stuff for youth.

It's a roller coaster ride and as audience one would keep falling in love with the characters and few may relate to the story as it's an unusual but realistic.

Genre- comedy, romance

Three days to travel
Getting a Tatkal ticket is next to impossible when the occasion is Diwali and add to it the festival of paramount importance in Bihar called "Chat". Me and my flatmate had been trying for the elusive tickets for past few days with no luck. Today was another day for failure and desperation was visible as we were contemplating on booking tickets in the dreaded "Toofan". It takes twice the time from normal trains and thrice the inconvenience.

Two days to travel
Still no luck. Calling home and explaining how I messed up booking tickets in advance and how it was humanely impossible to book tickets had no impact on the Motherhood. We decided to take the fight to the source. We reached the station and started scouting for the agents, the only guaranteed way to travel in India. We zeroed on a friendly chap who promised us two sleeper class tickets for double the price. Victory by hook or Crook.

The D Day
Bags are packed, excuses are made for taking a half day from office without applying for it. We happily reach the station looking for our friendly agent. He hands two ticket to us and what follows is shock, confusion and anger. Both tickets were RAC, so we paid double the price for the seat. My mind already started revolting against the decision to travel. After a little spat with the agent he offered to take back the tickets, not so friendly any more.

Train Ride
We decided to go with it. Train is jam packed. My side lower berth is shared by five people. There is no walking space left in the train. People are even standing in loo. That night I saw people standing throughout the journey, I was lucky to be seated.

Arrival
At home and angry why I need to travel like cattle to be at home on Diwali?
Why can't be at home at less crowded times?
Motherhood has no answers, she scolds me flat "Book Tickets on time". I am still ranting in my head why do even need to celebrate this festival?.

Diwali and Beyond
The whole house, in fact the whole neighborhood is upbeat. Kids in the apartment are going crazy making sure they have enough crackers for the night. Ladies are in a frenzy owing to the food and puja preparation. Men lets say men are men chilling watching news, yes real men chill out watching news. Then there is me whose mood is changing as the day passes. Happiness glowing slowly inside of me as the light outside in dark. I become a participant rather than the rude observer I was few days back. Slowly, I do not care about the troubles I took to reach home, I only care about the people who have gathered to illuminate the homes. I understand why you need to be home at these times, to rekindle lost bonds, to silently show affection and look towards future with a positive outlook.

One Year Later
Booked tickets on my own, train is still crowded as last time but this time when I look around I feel a little less angry and a little more Happy.

Life works in strange ways. The gears in motion churns, sometimes springs and sometimes even work on ghost parts. It keeps on surprising us. We go about our life thinking things will go the way we plan and suddenly it all changes. Sometimes for the good and sometimes for the bad.

Heavy rain. Dark Clouds. Thunder. Bolts of Lightning.

Weather is inclement and justifies the saying "Its raining cats and dogs".

Robert is riding his bike into the mountain across the curves on the slippery roads. He is not thinking straight, in fact he is not thinking at all. He has been on these roads hundreds of time, his body on its own accord changes gears, bends sideways on curves and slow downs on the curves one can die for. Don't get him wrong he is not the risk taker of this kind. He is not the kind of guy you find on a Russian Roulette table. He is gentle, cautious and forgiving kind most of us are.

Robert works as an analyst in an investment firm. Working odd hours, living in a suitcase and lacking sleep. All the qualities of an analyst, a perfect 100. He hardly had time to think about life and how fast pace things were all around him. Flying to India to meet a client and solve his supply chain management conundrum. Flying to china to help Chinese government figure out reach of government benefits programs and sometimes even sitting in a cab for hours to reach obscure areas in Chile to draft terms of a deal which will make his clients a truck load of money. In short the high flier life making money rain all round for others and getting a decent share himself and there was Sheryll too.

The rain keeps on pouring, the light keeps on getting dim. It is hard to see clearly but Robert pushes on. An approaching beam of light, a pair of them. Robert cuts across the left and almost crashes in the protection rail. A few more lights shine ahead but they appear static. It looks familiar it is the Cottage. The cottage where they met for the first time. He was sitting with the client and right across the room was Sheryll with her friends. Robert slows down thinking about stopping but suddenly like a mad man he pulls on the accelerator and races ahead.

Sheryll few weeks back was sitting with Robert holding her hand. Eyes were waiting for the downpour to begin but both resisted. Silence was the loudest at this point. She had leukemia, final stage. She asks for a can of coke, Robert smiles and goes out to fetch her one. When a person dies he never dies alone, he takes a part of the person who loves them. A part which will never be filled.

Screech! Thud!
The inevitable happened, bike skids across the road and Robert is thrown on the ground. Bikes light slowly fades as Robert fades in his thoughts hoping he will meet her once more.

"Can you speak?" asks the doctor. Robert nods twice. "You need to get off drugs, it will kill you", said the doctor. Robert nods again.

Robert is getting discharged today. The receptionist hands over to him his belongings. A letter?
He opens it up.

" I know you will never forget me. Live for both of us
- Sheryll"

Robert reads the letter for the hundredth time with tears dried on his cheeks. He folds the letter and opens the door and walks out in the open into the bright yet pleasant sunlight...

Something to look up to https://housing.com/lookup.

"Should I discuss with boss first?","Should I discuss with my team members first?" or "Should I give some other reason?". Plethora of questions zoomed around in my head. Clock was ticking and I was lost in thinking what would be the best course of action. "Are you coming for lunch?" asked one of my teammates. I replied "No". He insisted "Chicken day hai. Bhai!!". I smiled and gestured him to get lost. Lost again in my thoughts.

Whole team is out, the manager is still busy in his excels and reports. I walk up to him and ask if he has time for a discussion with me. He agrees. "I am planning to quit." I blubber out. "Why? You are doing so well here". I told him what I had been rehearsing for a while now " I am joining a startup, in fact we are the founding members.". "Be practical, appraisal is due in few months, plus you will lose your bonus". I told him I have thought this over and I need to do this.

Resignation letter punched in and mailed. News break out team mates like a bunch of aunties have diverse opinions "Badi Company Jata yaar", "Bonus leta pehle fhir chodta" and "Sahi kar hai bhai, apna kar". I was still dazed, this was in planning for past few months. I was backing out again and again. Believe me it is very hard, very very hard to quit a 9 to 6 job and jump off the cliff having faith in your idea. The fear of losing it all makes it not a easy task. Forget about the eagerly awaited last working day of the month where you get paid. Forget about the set office hours. Forget about the job security myth. I went over all this over and over again. It felt like a song in a never ending loop, going back and forth on the decision of quitting.

Serving notice period mid way boss and his boss calls upon me. We sit down, chit chat. "Where do you think you will go working in a small company?", "Would you be comfortable working in a different role?" and "Why not take a break and think over it?". All I did was a nod with a polite smile. After all this was not because I wanted more money or different opportunity. It was because I felt what we are doing will create a difference. May be minuscule in larger scheme of things but still a dent.

Comes the last day of office. Gifts, best wishes, promises and parties. Hope. Fear. Anxiety. Hope. A potpourri of emotions stirring in my stomach. Final goodbyes were said. Time had come to see the depths of my dream and conviction in achieving them. The beginning of a new life, strangely I never felt anything like this before :).

Gone are the days when gadgets were considered flashy tools. May be because they are becoming ubiquitous or affordable or both. Personal opinion: It is impossible to keep up to speed with the fast pace of information and life if you do not have these modern wonders close by. My personal arsenal consists of Lenovo laptop, Asus Nexus 7 and a Moto X.

Recently I took time off from my office to visit a village named Karan near Sasaram. It was my cousin brother's wedding. A time to enjoy and family folks to gather from all across India. The only thing I was looking forward was to desi barati dance on mere yaar ki shaddi hai with may be a little help of madira, just a little. The issue at hand cannot carry my bulky laptop everywhere around, Moto X is good, check out the below shots I took while travelling, but not ideal for writing posts like this one, replying to lengthy emails or reading books.

Here comes the tab in picture, nicely balanced replacement for laptop and more functional when we talk about set of problems I faced. The only thing lacking was a good old keyboard, adding one in my wishlist -"things-to-buy-to-make-bad-days-look-good". On a side note looking at my list I think if I managed to buy everything on the list I will end us the most popular seller on olx and quickr . Making a u turn and returning to topic at hand technology today makes thing so much easier we are on the move yet connected with our work: boss emailing you to get some work done while you are hip hopping across the continent because work from vacation is the new trend : \ , friends : who are sharing posts like the one below
or complete strangers fighting over a TOI post comment slot. In short the device becomes the connect and no I am promoting you to stick your eyes to the gadget. Anything in excess is bad and these modern day wonders are no exception. Back to wedding from debating on modi-ak-rahul and searching Google for what is the educational qualification of our pyari bahu tulsi to navigating with help of google maps, technology has become a necessity not by force but by its ever growing basket of tools for accessibility of information.

On side track this tablet cum laptop http://asusindia.co.in/T100/ has just been added to my wishlist, it has the missing link between a perfect tablet and a tablet, i.e. , a keyboard. Check out their commercial not impressive but tablet is. It is time to transform :)
Preeti Shenoy's THE ONE YOU CANNOT HAVE has been one of my best read till date. The book is too well-versed and the narration is simply classic.

The story has been revolving around the three main protagonist AMAN, SHRUTI AND ANJALI.

Why this book?

1. The language is simple and easy to understand.

2. Perfect portrayal of the protagonist.

3. A fresh and ought to be a different modern day romance something like the classical ROMEO JULIET, DDLJ, HEER RANJHA and all those other classic which have sad endings.

4. Mesmorizing story and tempts, attract the readers to read this book in one go.

5. For all those who have been in love or those have a heart break or those who are against any love stuff, just read this once on my request and later it can change the idea of your life.

"If you can't be better than the best, than be different from the best." These golden lines reflect the basic idea about what is change. Change is rejuvenating feeling which gives the sense of satisfaction and a pride of being different from others and living life king-size. It's just the way of thinking and visualizing things that differ the better from the best. It is so easy to live a simple life, but it is difficult to create a change in you lifestyle.

Everybody has spark to change themselves as well as their surrounding, but lack of self-confidence and their reluctant attitude don't let them succeed. Spotting the spark in anybody's ability too is a different thing, but converting the spark into flame is a bit different.

In the past too mostly those people only succeeded to achieve success in life who had their own way and vision of thinking. Most of them include Einstein (a school dropout), Jobs (a collage drop-out), Dhirubai Ambani (a news paper seller) who lived their life on their own conditions and revolutionized the field of science. Even Sachin Tendulkar who left his studies for cricket has created a milestone in the crickiting history because all of them had a spark which was cashed-on by their mentors.

So we should never fear what the world says and believe on our abilities as a common old man can lead a India to its independence leading a simple and pious life, so why can't we change the world???

Dear HT,

For all of us it is so easy to criticize government for all wrong done in the society or specifically target government officials and high dignitaries, but it's so difficult to accept that we are also equally responsible for such events. We too are part of this society and it's our moral duty to protect nation from enemies. How helpless we can be as an Indian who aren't capable enough to crackdown the roots of such events and in need of an active and efficient agency like CIA and FBI. What inputs do we take from such incidents? Just remembering the day and taking out candle march doesn't justify anyone's stand. It seems weird that in a democracy like India, where there is a democratic govt. from within us and we are criticizing the same govt. rather than co-operating with them.

Also how shameful it is when the brave soldiers of our nation for their protecting India's glory fight for their life to free India from enemies hand and as a general public and media, rather than supporting them, we are just seeing their act and media getting exclusive footage to increase TRP of their channel. They don't understand the need of the hour i.e. to stop the broadcast and support the govt. in carrying out rescuation operation by volunteering for any help possible.

Those footages helped the terrorist to locate the position of NSG and guide the troops present inside the Taj hotel. There could have been many less toll of death but ineffective administration, media groups and we as Indian are together guilty for this incident.

Also there have been many terror attack after the incident such as Bodh Gaya blast, Patna blast, Delhi blast, but still there's no solution or plan how to tackle these.

We as a citizen needs to co-operate with the govt. in anyway possible as in a democracy the govt is by the people, for the people and of the people

Regards

KH Raj

Dear Abhishek and Ishan:

In truth, life is impossible. People will leave. Love can fail. Your job may be a bore. But if you accept this then you can have fun with the rest of it. The midnight stroll on a Goa beach. The health scare that wasn’t one. The lottery of good conversation. I’m sharing a few things that’ve held true for me:
Happy Diwali.

1. You will be distinguished by your talent but remembered for how you loved. Your talent can be anything at all – fly-fishing, how you cast and where, or you may write a blog, be read and followed by millions. Only your talent – how you scrubbed a particular strength down to its essence – will be honestly celebrated. But to be remembered you must love well. Some people define immortality by a statue in a park (about statues in a park: only pigeons give a shit). In truth, the only kind of immortality to aspire to is how deeply you loved; if one single person remembers you fairly then you are already immortal in their memory of you. This is enough.

2. Whether you have an affair that lasts a lifetime or a weekend, know that loving someone is a largely moral act. Love is a feeling, an impulse, a behavior, even an aesthetic realising itself. But the underlying fabric of love is a moral one. To be entrusted with the custody of another life – a sibling, a lover, a parent – is a way for you to understand how your morality transacts with the mortality of the other. If you are unable to be moral, take the easier route: Be compassionate. That always works.

3. I’ve known the super rich and the very famous. And it means nothing at all. Don’t fall for the farce of associative power. You are not the people you hang with. But the company you avoid defines you. This includes friends, work colleagues, and yes, even the tiresome members of your extended family. Eliminating people gently, discreetly is an art, and you must learn this early on. Otherwise, too much of your adult life will be devoted to avoiding people you don’t like, and not enough of your hours can be spent with the ones you are provident enough to love.

http://www.hindustantimes.com/Images/popup/2013/11/BoysBrunchNov.jpg4. The famous are given to believe that everyone wants to be with them. This, unfortunately, is mostly true. Fame is a kind of light that obscures fact; it is also an illusion in which the illusionist loses herself. Do you really want to be with someone who can no longer see themselves? The other awful thing about fame is that it puts famous people in the awkward position to have to say aloud on occasion: Do you know who I am? You must always be gracious, and respond saying: I do, but do you?

5. The most interesting people I know happen to be famous, but their fame was accidental, incidental, or thrust upon them, and far from shying from it they use it wisely, like artillery. They don’t squander it on an airline upgrade or a dinner reservation. They use it to remind other people that being penciled out by recognition is possible only when you serve your solitude with truth and beauty; it is emergent of labour. And it is a fickle thing, fame, here today, gone tomorrow. If you become famous in your lifetime accept that you will always be misunderstood, and misappropriated. Enjoy your fame but never believe it.

6. It might appear on Facebook or on your Whatsapp DP that your friends have more friends than you do. Or that, tonight, they’re having more fun than you ever will. That’s ok. They are only filling their vile hours with vodka shots at 3am; in truth, they can’t stand each other. And if it weren’t for Instagram, they’d look like a pack of raccoons. If you enter your life thinking it’s a popularity contest then you’ve lost already. Don’t fear being alone: Your company is the best gift you can give yourself. And a man who is not afraid of being alone often also has the best company to give to others.

7. Wealth does not transmit by osmosis. What someone has remains their own unless you steal it from them, and trust me when I say the rich will wrestle you to the ground for their last dime (as they should; who is anyone to take it away from them?) Remember that the true nature of the rich is inherently an acquisitive one: they are rich because they have practice at taking things. But never allow someone to take your best thing away from you – thefts of talent or intimacy occur subliminally, silently. And there is no court of redress when someone steals your faith or confidence, or even your affinity for a particular novel. Guard such things with your life.

8. It is okay to be thought of as a difficult person. I am. I’m considered prickly and hard. This is not a bad thing because the opposite – smooth and soft – belongs only in one place: your butter dish. When you begin to negotiate on terms that are fair to you, you will invariably be dismissed as a bitch (this word is no longer gender specific). Be a Bitch. Celebrate Bitch Pride. Get a Bitch T-Shirt in six colours. When someone calls you a bitch they are only recognising in you the ability to play it as it lays. But don’t develop a bad personality on account of a tough charm; the operative word is charm. I cannot tell you the number of times I’ve got the last cinema seat because I was charming to the usher. Never, ever fail your charm.

9. Be wary of people who befriend you for what you can do for them. The moment they extract this, the friendship will fail: the scaffolding will simply fall away. Be cautious of people who climb all over your back to know your friends; these are the worst kind of parasites, and they will think nothing of wiping their dirty feet all over you as they enter new, cold rooms with expensive lighting. Their punishment will be the later day awareness that everything they got out such violating contact was essentially worthless. They will derive no enjoyment from the wealth they make in the bargain. They will attain no pleasure from the company they form. They will be lonely, and pathetic, and their punishment is not having known better, and then of having known better when it was too late. You must always, always buy such folks a drink at a bar when you meet them again: they will need something to drown their sorrows in.

10. People will come and people will go. Ideally, you’d like everyone you like to stick around. However, this is just not going to be possible. So give someone who leaves something to remember you by. The soup you made for them when they had the flu. The stint you set up when they needed a job like a lifeline. How you turned up when their mother died, and the solace of your listening silence in which they could hide and heal. And sometimes: How quickly you slammed shut the door on their face when you realised what a sleaze they were.

11. Be a good friend. It is teething to be an excellent lover.

12. Place pleasure at the centre of your life. I don’t mean frivolous pleasure – the binge drinking or the casual sex, although that’s fine in short season. By pleasure I mean how you absorb your life – the moment-by-moment awareness of beauty, and that all this beauty will also end. I once opened a bottle of champagne and drank it with your grandmother at 3pm in the afternoon for no particular reason. That was the last time we drank together; she was gone a few short months later. Pleasure is a private language, a means of looking at things, and it is a way of enduring the essential truth that life is horrible and unfair. Pleasure is also pause and reflection, a generosity toward others and a kindness you commit to yourself. Enjoy what you are able to because what you enjoy enables you.

13. You are here for too short a while. Make your hours count.

14. Your feelings are important. But not everyone gives a damn about them. In fact, almost no one does. If your feelings – your rages, your hurt, your passions – are the only lens through which you look at the world then your world will slowly become isolated, narrow and small, coloured by only by your limited and flawed experience. When someone treats you unfairly go after the larger reason for it: What in your karmic hardware drew this experience out of the woodwork of humanity? The Buddhist trick is to watch all experience, know it, absorb it, and then to let it be: in order to be free of it. When you do this the friend who has betrayed you will simply vanish. His job is done. He has nothing more to teach you. Give thanks, and move on. (But remember that iPhone has call block).

15. If someone tells you money is not important you must appreciate that they’re talking absolute bullshit. You will also read a heartwarming account of a burnt-out banker now living carefree out of a trailer, old newspaper doubling as toilet paper. I will be very angry with you both if you turn into someone who uses newspaper as toilet paper. In fact, I will disown you. After love and good health, money is your most important charge. It will allow you to suffer in a climate of comparative comfort (you will better absorb the lessons of your suffering instead of being struck dumb by pain). And you will make a greater lover with bucks in your bank (and boys, give gifts – gifts of thought, deed, the odd diamond – generosity is the sexiest quality a man can have).

16. There are three kinds of wealth. You start with your credit card. Move on to wealth of mind. Finally, and most importantly, there is abundance of heart. You can impress a lover with your wheels, you can dazzle them with smart repartee, but they’ll stick around only if they bloom with your touch. Be the spring to their cherry blossom, the stamen to their butterfly, the green bough to their singing bird. There will be a time when you will leave it all behind, when you will be ahead of experience – but that time is not here yet.

17. Always, always pray for good health. Even a bad cold can feel like early death. Rise real early. Go for walks. Reading gives your brains killer abs. Yoga takes care of everything else.

I just posted another entry for an ongoing contest without properly reading the rules, as usual, recklessly just skimmed through it all and missed the very first rule

Only fresh entries written for this contest will be allowed.

So, the last entry hardly counts.
Hell lets write another for that sweet piece of metal ppl call xperia Z but wait this feels like deja vu. I stop writing, then I see a contest at indiblogger and suddenly the love for blogging resurfaces. Ironically this time around fate has put up a notice board in the contest .

Write a Moral Story About Ignoring Warning Signs

But still we got to do what we got to do. A faint, fading essence of hope and here we go again. Roll them sleeves, put up some good music like this one.

If you got a lil vella time like me and you start listening to this awesomastic track you will realize form where I copied the following line.

Time is a Force and it will surely take its course...
...Regret is a Gift ...

You see the symbols are all there, cleverly concealed by the dear Lord in every nook and corner of the tiny universe I call home and live in be it music or blog-contests or my boss who tells me I hardly work and I give up too easily, may be i will get fired soon but that topic is for some other blog-contest something like "monster job and indiblogger presents : why your boss hates you?" .I think/assume I am kind of PRO at ignoring Warning Signs and carry on doing(1*) things like still write blog once in a blue moon.

Ah! How can I conclude without the famous Three example rule(2*) so a small
slice of life's pie on second thoughts lets ____(4*) that.

Moral of the story is atleast for me is to Keep failing, keep failing and fail a lil more . no matter how good you are you will fail the trick is to keep moving forward and keep trying.Ignore all those stupid signs placed by people who were not brave enough to jump.

you can't do this , you can't do that
you will fail, you will fall

The only place you should consider looking at signs is your health rest is all myth created by dumbo's like me and some other less dumbos. Be foolish da.

P.S. : This article is for an ongoing contest at indiblogger sponsored by My Healthy Speak Blog
When you were a kid, people would ask you to be brave, truthful,
obedient, punctual and blah-blah. They would want you to epitomize the
person solely made of moral fibre. But as your brains develop some gray
cells, you realize that the society has everything other than the
mentioned virtues, but still wants you to have some and you try to find
something suitable. A quality with which you would be remembered or a
quality for the lack of which you will be remembered.

“He is never on time “.
The process of growing gray cells continues and suddenly you grow a
conscience which tells you ok this is right and this is wrong . Now
again you find that the definition of rights and wrongs varies from
person to person ,time to time, mood to mood.

<ins style="border: none; display: inline-table; height: 60px; margin: 0; padding: 0; position: relative; visibility: visible; width: 468px;"><ins id="aswift_0_anchor" style="border: none; display: block; height: 60px; margin: 0; padding: 0; position: relative; visibility: visible; width: 468px;"></ins></ins>
“I will never watch porn its unethical”
See what goes up comes down, be it your bank balance, ego, temper,
love, hate and again blah blah. So now, our dear growing gray cells,
cease to grow and begin a downhill journey, in a more layman lingo, begins
to rot and this is the time you start to misinterpret, what is quoted
as ethics and moral fibre in dictionaries.A new interpretation is
born and you start preaching it.
“Everyone should be vegetarian”
Finally, you reach the stage where you are again a child because you
do not have those irritating gray cells telling you this and that.
Everything seems simple and plain, in black and white.
“You have only one life , live more, think less”

I had 4 unread books in my so called library : River of Smoke, ordered it because read Sea of Poppies and once you start a series you see it through. Clockwork Angel, ordered it because a coupon was about to expire. Great Gatsby, trailer is awesome. Once Upon the Tracks of Mumbai, the writer was gracious enough to send me one copy and I am finally through with it.

The story revolves around Babloo, who is bit special who is lost in his own world, his family , Vandana who is running after her dreams and hoping to meet her soul mate and Bomaby or Mumbai as we better know it now.

The story unfolds nicely, we get insight into the life of a middle class family in a city like Mumbai, into mindset of a working class women who is fighting the city to live her dream, a lot of small titbits of your life will reflect in the book.

The book lost me in middle where Mr. Rail Man enters, before his entry most of the story made sense to me but then I realized thats how today's media reacts and covers stories exaggerating every bit of it.

The book is well written, the language is simple and easy to understand. I call this thing new writer dilemma, I read some other new comer's book and it's a common scene they just put words which feel out of place but are little less in use. Our friend,Rishi Vohra, also succumbed to it at some places.

The story lacked finishing and made a little less sense in the end, lets say a little bit rushed in the end. Overall a decent read for a weekend.

Rating(out of 5) ***

p.s. bonus 1/2 star is given for debut novel, hope to see better from Rishi

10 (a) 4 (b) 2 (c) 3 (d) 5 (e) 6 (f) 1

Now add up the total number of points..

OVER 60 POINT: Others see you as someone they should "handle with care". You're seen as vain, self-centered, and who is extremely dominant. Others may admire you, wishing they could be more like you, but don't always trust you, hesitating to become too deeply involved with you.

51 TO 60 POINTS: Others see you as an exciting, highly volatile, rather impulsive personality, a natural leader, who's quick to make decisions, though not always the right ones. They see you as bold and
adventuresome, someone who will try anything once, someone who takes chances and enjoys an adventure. They enjoy being in your company because of the excitement you radiate.

41 TO 50 POINTS: Others see you as fresh, lively, charming, amusing, practical, and always interesting, someone who's constantly in the center of attention, but sufficiently well balanced not to let it go
to their head. They also see you as kind, considerate, and understanding, someone who'll always cheer them up and help them out.

31 TO 40 POINTS: Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone
who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you, realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes
you a long time to get over if that trust is ever broken.

21 TO 30 POINTS: Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy. They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder. It would really surprise them if you ever did something
impulsively or on the spur of the moment, expecting you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then, usually decide against it. They think this reaction is caused partly by your careful nature.

UNDER 21 POINTS: People think you are shy, nervous, and indecisive, someone who needs looking after, who always wants someone else to make the decisions and who doesn't want to get involved with anyone or anything! They see you as a worrier who always sees problems that don't exist. Some people think you're boring. Only those who know you well, know that you aren't.
Now forward this to others, and put your score in the subject box of your e-mail, like this:
